Lora Gilmore is a Nurse Paralegal in the firm’s Raleigh office. Lora supports all attorneys in the firm, across all three offices, with medical chronologies, medical research, and any other requests that involve medical expertise. Lora is a Licensed North Carolina Registered Nurse and a North Carolina Certified Paralegal. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association as well as the Raleigh-Wake Paralegal Association.
Lora is originally from West Virginia, but spent most of her adult life in Northern Virginia, some time in Alabama, and now resides in Raleigh. She has an Associate Degree in Nursing from Shenandoah University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from George Mason University. She also attended the University of Alabama at Huntsville to take courses in their Master’s Degree in Nursing Program as well as Calhoun Community College where she took classes in Paralegal Studies. A Registered Nurse for 40+ years, prior to joining the firm Lora worked in many areas of the medical field including pediatrics, pediatric ICU, medical/surgical, and renal/dialysis.
When she’s not working, Lora enjoys spending time with her family and her Chihuahua, Lucy, as well as reading and watching TV. A fun fact about Lora – she is the 1960 winner of the Golden Horseshoe Award in West Virginia, and was knighted a lady of the Golden Horseshoe by the Governor of West Virginia.
