James B. Black, IV (Jamie) has been practicing defense litigation in the Raleigh office of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP since 1999. Jamie handles a wide variety of workers’ compensation matters before the Industrial Commission and North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Representative clients include employers of all sizes, including manufacturers, construction companies, and retailers. Jamie has obtained favorable* results for defendants at mediations and in litigation before the Industrial Commission. Jamie has also received favorable* decisions at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Jamie’s last oral arguments before the Court of Appeals were successful* in affirming a favorable decision of the Industrial Commission.
