Marshall Wall recently became a Certified Information Privacy Professional/U.S. private-sector (CIPP) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Wall serves as Chair of the Cyber Liability and Privacy Law Practice Group at Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP and serves as the firm’s Managing Partner.

To receive a CIPP certification, a professional must demonstrate an understanding of broad global concepts of privacy and data protection law and practice, including: jurisdictional laws, regulations and enforcement models; essential privacy concepts and principals; legal requirements for handling and transferring data and more.

According to the IAPP, CIPP has been recognized as the world’s preeminent credential in the business of privacy. More than 13,000 professionals worldwide currently hold one or more IAPP certifications.

Wall represents clients in a wide range of disputes encompassing business, commercial, and intellectual property matters and counsels businesses on employment matters, corporate formation and governance issues. He maintains an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell, the peer review rating that recognizes attorneys who have reached high levels of skill and integrity.
