On Sept. 30, Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (CSH) hosted its first Construction Contractor Forum for minority and small-to-medium sized General Contractors.
The firm recognized that smaller to medium sized construction companies sometimes need additional legal guidance on issues such as construction contracts, accidents on the work site and insurance policies that relate to their businesses. To meet these needs, CSH attorneys Dan Katzenbach, John Ong and Mica Worthy hosted an open forum in the firm’s Charlotte office.
The team presented on topics including the recently passed law (Aug. 23, 2013) affecting Certificates of Insurance, key issues to identify in Construction Contracts and the five most important steps a contractor needs to follow when an accident occurs on a job site.
CSH plans to host a Spring Construction Forum in 2014 to help educate subcontractors.
