Dan M. Hartzog, managing partner of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (CSH Law), was recently named the Best Lawyers® 2014 Raleigh Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants “Lawyer of the Year.” (Copyright 2013 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, SC). An experienced litigator with nearly 40 years of experience, Hartzog has tried more than one hundred jury trials and has handled several highly publicized cases in both Federal and State courts. He holds the rank of “Advocate” in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and maintains an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell. He has been listed in the publication “The Best Lawyers in America®” every year since 2006 and recognized as one of Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite in the field of Litigation since 2008. In 2013, he was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers, an honor bestowed on one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province.

A resident of Raleigh, Hartzog is a Dispute Resolution Commission Certified Mediator. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
