Mica Nguyen Worthy, a litigator in the Charlotte office of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP, has been working with the Executive Board to found the new non-profit organization, the Charlotte International Arbitration Society (CIAS). She currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors and is chair of the Education and Outreach Committee.

Formed officially in September 2014, the CIAS launched its website in January 2015. The CIAS is a new organization that aims to promote, encourage and facilitate the use of Charlotte as a venue for businesses to negotiate, arbitrate, and resolve international commercial disputes. The CIAS is comprised of law firms, businesses, and other professional organizations, who serve the needs of companies engaged in a global economy.

CIAS has recently been featured on Yahoo! Finance and the Charlotte Business Journal.
