On June 22, Mica Worthy, an attorney based in the Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP Charlotte office, will graduate from the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) Leadership Academy Class of 2013. The graduation will be held as part of the NCBA Annual Meeting in Asheville, N.C.
The 2013 NCBA Leadership Academy included 16 lawyers from across the state. The program featured speakers including business leaders, Secretary of State Elaine Marshall and John Martin, Chief Judge of the N.C. Court of Appeals.
Since 2011, the NCBA Leadership Academy has been training young attorneys to become effective leaders in their communities and their firms, as well as the organizations they are involved in. The Leadership Academy’s goals are for class members to increase their personal self-awareness, develop and refine leadership skills, improve their ability to influence others, and use the leadership skills they learn to “make a difference.”
In order to be eligible for selection, applicants must be a member of the NCBA and its Young Lawyers Division as well as practicing law for between two and ten years.
