On June 14, Pat Flanagan presented “10 Ways to Get Sued & How to Avoid Them” at the Charlotte Employment Law Session meeting of the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association.

Pat, the Chair of the Employment Law Practice Group at Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP, discussed the top 10 legal issues facing hospitality employers including classification of exempt or non-exempt employees, determining whether a worker is an independent contractor, and effectively interviewing, training, evaluating, and terminating employees to avoid employment litigation.

The meeting was held at the Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte/Concord in Concord.
