Two Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP attorneys will participate in the upcoming 2015 North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys (NCAWA) Annual Conference.

Robin Hayes Terry, Vice Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group at Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (CSH Law), will serve as part of a panel discussion for the opening session.  The panel discussion is entitled “Inspirational Leading Ladies” which reflects the conference’s theme of “Ladies of Justice: Women Inspiring Women in the Legal Profession.”  The panelists will provide first-hand accounts as women working in the legal profession.

Robin is the first female elected to a permanent position on the firm’s management committee at CSH Law and the founder of the firm’s Women’s Initiative.

In addition, Kara Gansmann, an attorney in the Wilmington CSH Law office, served on the conference planning committee and will introduce the keynote speaker during both days of the conference.  Justice Eva Guzman, of the Supreme Court of Texas, will deliver the keynote address entitled “Women and the Law: Learning, Leading, & Living Well.”  Justice Guzman is the first Hispanic woman elected to statewide office in Texas.

Kara serves as the Treasurer for the NCAWA Coastal Women Attorneys chapter.

The conference will be held October 16-17, 2015 at the Blockade Runner in Wrightsville Beach.
