Virginia Wooten, an attorney in the Charlotte office of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP, has been elected Vice President for the Board of Directors of the Young Affiliates of the Mint Museum.  Virginia will serve as Vice President for a one-year term before becoming President in 2018. The Young Affiliates of the Mint Museum is the longest running young professional group in Charlotte, North Carolina, and supports the Mint Museum through a variety of social, cultural, leadership, and fundraising activities and events.

Since 2014, Virginia has been an active member of the Young Affiliates of the Mint Museum.  She began serving on the board of directors in 2015 and served as a Chair for the 2016 and 2017 Derby Days fundraisers, which raised funds to offset the cost of free school tours of the Mint Museum for school-aged children in Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools. The annual event is Charlotte’s largest Kentucky Derby fundraiser.
