By taking action to get a hearing on the issue, CSH defense attorney Jones helped an employer stop paying money to a former employee and even recouped some of the money already paid.
The plaintiff was a former employee of the defendant company who had been fired for misconduct. His doctors had cleared him to work, but the plaintiff still wanted to receive disability benefits from the former employer. CSH defense attorney Jennifer Morris Jones filed the appropriate forms to request a hearing on the matter.
At the hearing, Ms. Jones successfully argued that not only should the plaintiff not receive any more benefits, but also that some of the benefits already paid to him should be returned.
Thanks to her persistent and proactive work, CSH attorney Jones was able to keep an employer from having to pay any further money to an employee who had been fired, and even get some of the money back.
