Patrick Mincey and Stephen Bell will present on the Anti-Money Laundering Improvement Act and the U.S. Department of Justice’s recently announced criminal whistleblower program to the Turks & Caicos Integrity Commission in Providenciales on April 19.

The Commission is an independent, anti-corruption Agency established to combat corruption, promote integrity and increase legal compliance by public officials.

The presentation topics include opportunities for non-U.S. citizens to participate as whistleblowers to the US government, with the potential for enormous financial awards. New US laws have been enacted to combat financial crimes that otherwise go undetected and undeterred. These laws are designed to encourage new groups of key individuals to come forward with knowledge of misconduct in return for large awards.

Patrick and Stephen are members of the Cranfill Sumner LLP White Collar, Government Investigations & Special Matters Practice Group and the Administrative, Regulatory & Government Law Group.
