Patrick Mincey and Stephen Bell will present on the Anti-Money Laundering Improvement Act and the U.S. Department of Justice’s recently announced criminal whistleblower program to an audience of Swedish and Danish lawyers at the JUC Institute on April 12.

JUC Institute was founded in Denmark in 2001 and today offers continued legal education for attorneys there and across Sweden, Germany, Norway and the Netherlands.

The presentation topics include opportunities for non-U.S. citizens to participate as whistleblowers to the U.S. government, with the potential for enormous financial awards. New U.S. laws have been enacted to combat financial crimes that otherwise go undetected and undeterred. These laws are designed to encourage new groups of key individuals to come forward with knowledge of misconduct in return for large awards.

Patrick and Stephen are members of the Cranfill Sumner LLP White Collar, Government Investigations & Special Matters Practice Group and the Administrative, Regulatory & Government Law Group.  They are regularly invited to speak to international audiences about their expertise in international investigations and transnational crime.
