Gessner Brings Law Enforcement Advisement Experience to Firm

Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (CSH Law) today announced that Paul Gessner has joined the firm’s Raleigh office as Of Counsel. Gessner will join the Municipalities and Public Entities Practice Group and the Employment Law Practice Group.

Gessner brings a wealth of experience to CSH Law. He joins CSH Law with more than two decades of experience, including serving as the attorney for the Wake County Sheriff’s office since 2016.  He previously served as a Superior Court Judge, a District Court Judge and an Assistant District Attorney for Wake County. In addition, he was a Raleigh police officer for five years.

“Paul’s more than 20 years of serving in North Carolina’s court system and with law enforcement gives him a deep understanding of the needs of law enforcement administrators and officers.  We are looking forward to working with him to help meet the needs of our local government clients,” said Pat Flanagan, Chair of the CSH Law Municipalities & Public Entities Practice Group and Vice-Chair of the Employment Practice Group.

Gessner received his law degree from Campbell School of Law, his bachelor’s degree from NC Wesleyan College and an associate degree from Wake Technical Community College.
