Gessner Brings Law Enforcement Advisement Experience to Firm

Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (Cranfill Sumner) today announced that Paul Gessner has joined the firm’s Raleigh office as Of Counsel. Gessner will join the Municipalities and Public Entities Practice Group and the Employment Law Practice Group.

Gessner brings a wealth of experience to Cranfill Sumner. He joins Cranfill Sumner with more than two decades of experience, including serving as the attorney for the Wake County Sheriff’s office since 2016.  He previously served as a Superior Court Judge, a District Court Judge and an Assistant District Attorney for Wake County. In addition, he was a Raleigh police officer for five years.

Gessner received his law degree from Campbell School of Law, his bachelor’s degree from NC Wesleyan College and an associate degree from Wake Technical Community College.
