Richard Boyette has been named to the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) Legal Practice Hall of Fame. Boyette is an experienced litigator and mediator with a career spanning more than four decades who serves as Of Counsel at Cranfill Sumner LLP.
Boyette was inducted into the Legal Practice Hall of Fame during the NCBA Annual Meeting Awards Dinner on June 24.

With more than 40 years of experience, Boyette is an accomplished litigator and mediator who has mediated more than 1,800 disputes.
He has served in leadership positions for legal organizations on the local, state, national, and international levels. He served as the President of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, served on the North Carolina Commission on the Administration of Law and Justice as a Legal Professionalism Committee Member, and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association.
He helped found the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence (NFJE), where he served in numerous leadership positions. In 2014, the NFJE created the Richard T. Boyette Award for Outstanding Contributions to the NFJE to honor his contributions. He was the President of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and was a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel.
