COVID-19 upended the world in a myriad of ways and conducting mediations in North Carolina Workers’ Compensation claims was no exception. Please join Nick Valaoras as he moderates a discussion with mediators Collins Barwick and Amy Berry as they talk about the immediate impacts COVID had on mediations; how parties, attorneys, and mediators transitioned to the world of remote mediations; lessons learned in the 2 years since the pandemic, best practices suggestions for mediating in this new era, and other practical tips on how best to utilize the mediation process to settle claims.
