Adaire Camden, a North Carolina Certified Paralegal, served as a volunteer for the NC Bar Association Paralegal Division Driver’s License Restoration Clinic on June 8. The clinic was held as part of the North Carolina Pro Bono Center’s Driver’s License Restoration Project which helps individuals who may have had their license suspended for failure to appear in court or failure to pay court fees. Many of these individuals were unable to get time off work and unable to retain an attorney for their court date, resulting in the failure to appear. Others are simply unable to pay the fines, which increase in fees the longer they go unpaid.

She served alongside 17 other volunteers and worked to provide advice letters for 63 individuals who needed assistance reinstating their driver’s licenses.

Adaire is a paralegal based in the Wilmington office of Cranfill Sumner LLP.
