Ashley M. Coghill received the Addison Hewlett Jr. Award for Exceptional Pro Bono Service from the New Hanover County Bar Association and Legal Aid of North Carolina. The award was presented Feb. 21 at a special award ceremony.

The award is named for Addison Hewlett Jr., a Wilmington attorney and 1948 president of the New Hanover County Bar Association. To honor Hewlett’s work in serving the needy, the award is given to an attorney who serves the community with selfless dedication to promoting equal justice for the disadvantaged in New Hanover County, NC.

She was also inducted into the 2021 North Carolina Pro Bono Society by the Supreme Court of North Carolina.

Ashley is an attorney in the Wilmington office of Cranfill Sumner LLP.
