On Feb. 19, attorneys at Cranfill Sumner LLP hosted a panel discussion during the firm’s latest webinar.
During the Employment Law Panel, Benton Toups, Kayla McDaniel, and Alex Williams discussed a variety of timely legal issues faced by employers each day.
They reviewed common employment law myths related to wage and hour rules, non-compete agreements, and discrimination claims; frequent mistakes in employee discipline such as inconsistent enforcement, delayed action, and inadequate documentation; and the workplace challenges created by employee social media activity, from hiring considerations to disciplinary decisions and policy needs.
Benton is Chair of the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Wilmington office. Kayla is based in the firm’s Charlotte office, and Alex is based in the firm’s Wilmington office.
