Three attorneys named as new partners with firm
Cranfill Sumner LLP today announced that Steven Bader (Raleigh), Stephen Bell (Wilmington) and Charles Hicks (Raleigh) have been named partners in the firm.

Steven Bader is based in Raleigh and serves as the head of the appellate practice at Cranfill Sumner LLP. He enjoys working with his clients to develop cost-effective solutions to complicated legal problems. His background and experiences allow him to serve his clients in a variety of settings. He graduated from the Gonzaga University School of Law and St. Cloud State University.
Stephen Bell practices in the firm’s Wilmington office where he handles a broad array of civil litigation matters. He has a wide-ranging practice focused on representing parties in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts and before administrative bodies. He graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law and Clemson University.
Charles L. Hicks, III practices in the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Raleigh Office. He has defended hundreds of workers’ compensation claims, through all phases of the North Carolina workers’ compensation process. He graduated from Campbell University School of Law and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
