Worthy Honored with Annual Distinguished Leader in Diversity and Inclusion Award
Cranfill Sumner LLP presented its 2024 Distinguished Leader in Diversity and Inclusion Award to Mica Nguyen Worthy, a Partner in the firm’s Charlotte office. Worthy serves as Chair of the firm’s Aviation & Aerospace Practice Group and the International Business Law Group.
The Cranfill Sumner Distinguished Leader in Diversity and Inclusion Award is presented to an individual who embodies the firm’s commitment to expanding diversity and inclusion within the firm’s offices and the surrounding communities.
“We can think of no one more deserving of this year’s Distinguished Leader in Diversity and Inclusion Award than Mica Nguyen Worthy,” said Marshall Wall, Managing Partner of Cranfill Sumner. “She is a dedicated attorney who has spent much of her career expanding opportunities for others within our firm and beyond. I am proud of Mica’s dedication to the firm and the profession, and thrilled that she received this recognition.”
Mica is active in her local community. She founded and currently serves on Board of the Charlotte Asian Pacific American Bar Association (Charlotte APABA). She has also served on the Cranfill Sumner Diversity, Inclusion and Belongingness Committee and the Mecklenburg County Bar’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She was also a Board member of the Community Building Initiative in Charlotte and an inaugural class member of the Leaders Under 40 program.
“I’m just so honored and humbled by this recognition. There are so many people in the firm who support and sponsor attorneys and staff in their careers, who may not otherwise have had the guidance or opportunities for success, and to be counted among them is truly a great honor for me,” Mica said.
Mica received her law degree from Campbell Law School and her bachelor’s degree from St. Andrews Presbyterian College.
