James Thornton, an attorney in the Raleigh office of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog, spoke recently at the 2017 Winter Workshop of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys.

On Jan. 27, Thornton and a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police attorney co-presented “Government: Dash and Body Camera Video: Balancing Public and Legal Concerns.” The presentation reviewed the legal issues surrounding dash and body cameras and recent legislation about recordings from such cameras.
