Melissa “Missy” Donovan, a paralegal in the Raleigh office of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP, will serve as part of a panel discussion for “Appeals: The Next Level,” the 2015 Appellate Practice Section CLE and Annual Meeting. The panel, “Paralegals: The Brains Behind the Brawn,” will cover what paralegals know that attorneys should know, what they can do to improve an appellate practice, and things attorneys do that are helpful to paralegals.
Missy is a NC Certified Paralegal and has worked as a civil litigation and appellate paralegal for Cranfill Sumner for twelve years. Prior to joining the firm, Missy worked at the NC Court of Appeals as an executive assistant and paralegal to Staff Counsel, former Chief Judge RA Hedrick and former Chief Judge John C. Martin.
The event is sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation and will be held on Oct. 2 at the NC Bar Center in Cary.
