Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (Cranfill Sumner) today announced that Michael B. Cohen has joined the firm as an associate based in its Raleigh office where he will practice civil litigation.
Cohen previously worked at a law firm in Cary, NC, where he focused his practice on litigating complex class action employment law cases in federal and state courts nationwide. He has been recognized as a North Carolina Rising Star by Super Lawyers and currently serves as a member of the Young Lawyers Division Newsletter & Communications Committee for the North Carolina Bar Association.
Cohen graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law and George Washington University. While in law school he worked for a nationally-renowned civil litigation firm; served in summer clerkships for The Honorable James L. Gale, Chief Judge of the North Carolina Business Court, and The Honorable D. Thomas Lambeth, Jr., Judge in North Carolina’s 15A judicial district; and served as an extern for the Financial Fraud Unit of the North Carolina Department of Justice.
