Q. Shanté Martin led the Sept. 11 webinar entitled “Another Pendulum Swing: Significant Modifications of Title IX Obligations for Schools.” The Zoom webinar was presented by the Mecklenburg Bar Association/26th JD Bar.
Shanté discussed the highlights and impacts of the revised Title IX regulations on educational institutions who receive federal funds. Specifically, she clarified confusion and misinformation about the applicability of the revised Title IX regulations. She also honed in on the significant changes that are warranted for those schools subject to the revised Title IX regulations that went into effect on August 1, 2024.
