Hofer Leads Firm’s New Aviation Law Practice Group
Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (Cranfill Sumner) today announced that Susan Hofer has joined the firm’s Charlotte office as a partner practicing aviation law. Susan will lead the firm’s new Aviation Law practice group.
“We are excited about the addition of Susan to our firm and welcome the experience and knowledge that she’ll bring to our new aviation law practice group,” said Lee Poole, managing partner of the Cranfill Sumner Charlotte office.
Hofer joins Cranfill Sumner with more than 26 years of experience and is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law and the Catholic University of America. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, Maryland, the District of Columbia and Michigan and has been admitted to practice Pro Hac Vice in other jurisdictions. In addition to her legal experience, Hofer is an FAA certificated pilot, holding commercial and certified flight instructor, instrument airplane, and glider certificates.
Hofer is a member of many legal and aviation organizations including the American Bar Association, Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, Mecklenburg County Bar Association, North Carolina State Bar, A.O.P.A. Legal Services Plan, International Air & Transportation Safety Bar Association (IATSBA), National Business Aviation Association and Organization of Flying Adjusters.
