Allison Carswell

Allison Carswell is an associate in the firm’s Charlotte office, where she focuses her practice on employment, municipal, and construction-related matters. She is licensed to practice in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Allison earned her J.D., with honors, from the Charleston School of Law. While in law school, she was actively involved in Moot Court, serving as Associate Justice of External Competition, and competed internationally on the Vis International Commercial Arbitration team in Vienna, Austria. She also served as a research fellow, was a member of the Journal of Law and Public Policy, and participated in several student organizations, including the Maritime Law Club, Animal Legal Defense Club, and Student Ambassadors. She received the CALI Award in Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiations.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, majoring in Public Relations with minors in Sociology and Leadership and Social Change. While there, she was actively involved in the national non-profit organization College Mentors for Kids, serving in multiple leadership roles, including Mid-Atlantic Regional Advisory Board Student Representative, Vice President of Programming, and Chapter President.

Outside of work, she enjoys baking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her rescue dog, Millie.
