WEBINAR: The Risks of an Employee on the Move – Analysis of Emerging and Established Risks for NC Workers’ Compensation

April 14, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

PLEASE NOTE: This webinar is PENDING approval for one hour of NC Continuing Education credit by the NC Department of Insurance. Cranfill Sumner will submit for those individuals who have North Carolina designated as their home state.

Webinar Description:
Matt Covington presents about the risk of an employee on the move.

The modern-day workforce is locationally fluid. Employees travel to meetings, conferences, and worksites on a local, national, and global scale. The Covid-19 pandemic has put a spotlight on the mobile employee as their travel has been a primary risk to the spread of the disease and to their safety. This webinar will tackle the questions of what established and emerging risks employers and carriers face with the traveling employee in the context of North Carolina workers’ compensation. Specifically, we will examine how can the risks be mitigated, how does the changing work environment such as remote working from home add new concerns, and how do new health risks to the nomadic employee affect the future of the workers’ compensation exposure.
