Attorneys chosen for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2016
Two attorneys from the Raleigh office of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (Cranfill Sumner) were recently named the Best Lawyers® 2016 “Lawyer of the Year” for their respective practice areas in the Raleigh metropolitan area. Dan M. Hartzog, Managing Partner of Cranfill Sumner, was named the Best Lawyers® 2016 Litigation Municipal “Lawyer of the Year” for Raleigh.
An experienced litigator with more than 40 years of experience, Hartzog has tried more than one hundred jury trials and has handled several highly publicized cases in both Federal and State courts. He holds the rank of “Advocate” in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and maintains an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell. He has been listed in the publication “The Best Lawyers in America®” every year since 2006 and recognized as one of Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite in the field of Litigation since 2008. In 2013, he was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers, an honor bestowed on one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province.
With 40 years of experience, Ward has devoted most of his career to the defense of medical malpractice actions. David was elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He also maintains an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell, the most prestigious peer review rating which recognizes attorneys who have reached the highest levels of skill and integrity.
