Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (Cranfill Sumner) has named Melody Jolly, Stephanie Gaston Poley and Virginia Wooten as the new leaders of its Women’s Initiative. The Women’s Initiative empowers our women attorneys to discuss and act on issues that are important to them. The group holds an annual retreat and events throughout the year.
The three attorneys will replace Robin Terry, a Partner in the firm’s Raleigh office, who founded and served as Chair of the Cranfill Sumner Women’s Initiative since its founding in 2013.
“We created the Cranfill Sumner Women’s Initiative six years ago to develop an environment that promotes and encourages women within our firm,” Robin said. “The Women’s Initiative has helped encourage more flexibility for our female attorneys and staff members and created more leadership roles for women within our firm. I look forward to the leadership that Melody, Stephanie and Virginia will bring to this important program.”
Melody Jolly is a Partner in the firm’s Wilmington office who serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Professional Liability Practice Group.
Stephanie Gaston Poley is a Partner in the Raleigh office. She serves as Chair for the firm’s Retail, Restaurant & Hospitality Practice Group and Vice Chair for the firm’s Premises Liability Practice Group.
Virginia Wooten is an attorney based in the Cranfill Sumner Charlotte office who focuses her practice on civil litigation defense.
