Cranfill Sumner LLP today announced that Dakota Lipscombe has joined the firm’s Wilmington office as an Associate Attorney. He focuses his practice on construction, community association, and real estate matters.

Before joining Cranfill Sumner, he had the opportunity to practice transactional commercial real estate law in New Bern, North Carolina. He has experience in preparing contracts, advising clients on leases and real property ownership challenges, and counseling local boards.  He is also accomplished in analyzing changes in regulatory and case precedent and using his insights to guide clients through novel compliance situations.

Lipscombe earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.  While in law school, he was a competing member of the Holderness Moot Court Corporate Team, an articles editor for the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology, and a summer intern at the North Carolina Business Court.

He received his undergraduate degree and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Virginia.
