Cranfill Sumner LLP today announced that Gina M. Von Oehsen Cleary has been named a Senior Fellow by the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). Cleary is Of Counsel and based in the firm’s Raleigh office.
Cleary focuses her practice in the firm’s Civil Litigation section. She represented numerous clients in both federal and state courts in North Carolina, Connecticut and New York. She recently argued before the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. She regularly represents domestic and international companies involved in complex litigation.
The LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society comprised of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation. Senior Fellow status in the society is reserved for advanced commitment to and support of the LCA, the Diversity Law Institute and the Trial Law Institute.
Fellows are generally at the partner or shareholder level or are independent practitioners with recognized experience and accomplishment. In addition, the LCA is dedicated to promoting superior advocacy, professionalism, and ethical standards among its Fellows.
Cleary maintains an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell, holds a North Carolina Real Estate Broker License and is a graduate of Boston College and the Fordham University School of Law.
She joins Cranfill Sumner founding member Bob Sumner as a Senior Fellow. Sumner was previously named a Senior Fellow Emeritus.
