On Aug. 18, Russ Racine presented the “Advertising Injury Claims” webinar as part of the Cranfill Sumner LLP webinar series. 

Advertising injury claims in North Carolina are on the rise, and claimants are seeking to broaden the scope of coverage to include an increasingly large pool of covered actions. He discussed the types of claims that are covered by advertising injury provisions, how coverage determinations are made by the courts, recent fact patterns from both federal and state court cases that provide guidance on how to analyze advertising injury claims, and best practices and tips for handling these increasingly common allegations.
