Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (Cranfill Sumner) today announced that Terrie L. Nelson has joined its Raleigh office as an associate attorney. She will focus her practice in the area of civil litigation.

Before joining Cranfill Sumner, Nelson clerked with the firm for two consecutive summers, and she also worked for the New Hanover and Pender County District Attorney’s Office as a Victim Witness Legal Advocate for two years.  While in law school, she was the recipient of the Cheshire Schneider Advocacy Scholarship, a member of Campbell Law School’s mock trial team, co-chaired the Domestic Violence Advocacy Pro Bono Project, and served as president of the Student Bar Association.  Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Order of Barristers.

She is a graduate of Campbell Law School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Communication Studies and magna cum laude with a M.A. in Conflict Management and Resolution.
