Cranfill Sumner LLP today announced that Dominic Totman has been named Chair of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group.
A Partner in the firm’s Raleigh office, Dominic was instrumental in the founding of the practice group which launched in October 2025. The group handles private equity and venture capital investments, EBITDA‑focused middle‑market transactions, tax‑motivated restructurings such as pre‑closing F‑reorganizations, complex merger structures, carve‑outs and divisional dispositions, distressed opportunities, and equity and asset deals featuring rollover equity or earn‑outs.

Since joining Cranfill Sumner in 2023, Dominic has focused his practice in Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Law, International Business Law, and Intellectual Property, advising clients across a variety of transactional, operational, and cross‑border matters.
