Pete is an associate in our Charlotte Office who focuses his practice on municipal law, government liability defense, and the defense of employers, both public and private.  He also defends various types of premises liability and professional liability claims.  Prior to joining Cranfill Sumner LLP, he worked as a general practitioner serving clients in Lincoln, Gaston, and Mecklenburg Counties.

In 2011, Pete graduated from the United States Military Academy, where he was a four-year varsity letterman in swimming.  Pete then served in the U.S. Army for five years as a Field Artillery Officer.  While in the military, he was stationed in Oklahoma, Fayetteville, N.C., and Kuwait.

Pete left the Army as a Captain in 2016 and attended Campbell Law School following a stint as an Operations Manager at Wells Fargo.  While in law school, Pete interned for U.S. Bankruptcy Court-E.D.N.C., the Lieutenant Governor of N.C., and the Speaker of the N.C. House of Representatives.

Pete and his wife, Hillary, love to take their yellow lab, Boo, to play fetch at Lake Norman.  Pete also enjoys hunting, fishing, snowboarding, and watching Army beat Navy in his free time.
